fifa23 It’s been out for a few months now, but players recently discovered an interesting Easter egg in the form of comments from Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Reynolds and McElhenney own Wrexham AFC. The Wales team is a fairly small club, existing as part of the National League. Despite its smaller nature, Wrexham has been added fifa22 last year, where it was placed in the “Rest of the World” category along with other small teams (which resulted in a pretty cool video last year). His presence extended to fifa23and it looks like Reynolds and McElhenney are actually in the game this time around!
In a video shared on YouTube by Sandip2142, Wrexham AFC can be seen playing against Liverpool. Liverpool are in the Premier League and are one of the biggest clubs in the world. When the two teams face off in the game, comments from Reynolds and McElhenney can be heard, joking that it’s a match between “a big club and a very small club”, before revealing that the two are actually joking. . about Liverpool being a smaller team than a ‘close-knit community’. The video can be found embedded below.
It will be interesting to see if Wrexham AFC end up in EA’s game again this year! Electronic Arts had a very public break with the FIFA organization and fifa23 it is the final collaboration between the two. Instead, EA Sports FC will launch this year, while FIFA 24 will be a completely separate game developed by someone else. This whole situation is sure to be confusing for casual fans, and it’s impossible to say how similar EA Sports FC will be to the current game. For now, fans will just have to wait and see!
fifa23 is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. You can check out all of our previous coverage of the game here.
