October 1 FIFA 22 launches with machine learning and a new animation system
In place in the updated game is more than normal technologically speaking, as these games are often launched with little new beyond updated player numbers: this time HyperMotion technology debuts “which delivers the most realistic and immersive experience in every game wherever you player”. Note that this technology is only available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and Stadia editions.
EA boasts that they use their own machine learning technology that supposedly lifts the game to new heights with realism and full control over the ball combined with animations that are drawn in real time so that everything looks more realistic.
With Xsens Suits, we have for the first time registered data on every single touch, tackle, question and duel from 22 players in high intensity, and this data has formed the basis for over 4000 new animations in FIFA 22. Thus, we have been able to improve the intensity, response and the physics of every single player in the game.
