On February 27, in Paris, the awards ceremony for the best football players in the world according to the results of the FIFA season is held under the name The Best FIFA Football Awards 2022.

The best athletes are determined in the following categories: best player, goalkeeper, coach (three nominations each for men and women), FIFA Puskás Award for the best goal, FIFA Fan Award for the best fans, FIFA Fair Play Award for fair play. In addition, the symbolic teams of the world of 11 football players and female football players at the end of the season will be named.

A little earlier, the organizers determined the final three nominees for the title of the best football player of the year. The top 3 included the Argentine striker PSG Lionel Messi and two French forwards – Karim Benzema from Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe from PSG.
