Fierce Philippines, Indonesia still in trouble

Filipino players are still the most productive in the 2022 AFF Cup top scorer list. Meanwhile, players Indonesian national team still fighting

The figure of Philippine international forward Kenshiro Daniels is important because he is listed as the provisional top scorer. Daniels has scored three goals in two games so far. In the first match against Cambodia, Daniels scored twice in a 2-3 loss. He again scored a goal in the match against Brunei Darussalam.

Daniels is the only top scorer so far. Below him are his team-mates, namely Sebastian Rasmussen, then Reung Bunheing (Cambodia) and Peeradon Chamratsamee (Thailand) who have both scored two goals to date.

Rasmussen scored twice against Brunei on Friday (23/12), then Reung Bunheing scored twice against the Philippines, while Peeradon Chamratsamee scored against Brunei Darussalam.

While the most productive teams are currently held by Vietnam and the Philippines. The Golden Star Warriors beat Laos 6-0 in their opening game at the New National Stadium, Wednesday (21/12). While the Philippines lost 2-3 in the first game, then won 4-1 in the second game.

Then the next team to score the most goals was Thailand. War Elephant Team defeated Brunei 5-0 in their opening match at Kuala Lumpur Stadium on Tuesday (20/12).

Meanwhile, the Indonesia national team has scored just two goals so far. Garuda’s team won narrowly 2-1 over Cambodia in a match which was held at Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), on Friday (11/23).

Egy Maulana Vikri opened up Indonesia’s lead in the seventh minute. Then Witan Sulaeman doubled his lead in the 35th minute.
