At the time when the amendment of the PASOK is expected that will put a “brake” on the funding of the Spartans, a confrontation broke out between the president of the Spartans, Vassilis Stigas, and the parliamentary representative, Dimitris Mantzou.
The reason is the party’s proposal to suspend the party’s funding. Mr. Stigas, from the floor of the Parliament, attacked Harilaou Trikoupi’s party, saying that they are confusing some things.
“Golden Dawn’s funding was cut off because it was a criminal organization. The Spartans are accused of deceiving the electorate” he added additionally “that everyone should look at their politics, but you gentlemen of the PASOK are exposed. Since last year you have had the rage to cut off the funding of the Spartans, you who have conquered the world. You owe 400 million. I make a proposal to make an amendment that those who are in debt should not participate in the elections. The best thing to do in PASOK is to collect it. The Spartans will be acquitted, know that.”
Dimitris Manzos took the floor and commented decisively on the attitude of the ND arguing that they are deeply exposed because “with its decision to ignore our amendment, it allowed the Spartan party to collect money from the Greek people, even after the decision of the Supreme Court that this is a continuation of the Golden Dawn and its real leadership is an incarcerated prisoner”. The parliamentary representative of PaSoK concluded by saying that the furious attack of the Spartans against the party is a badge of honor for them.
