Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Philanthropy, Bill Gates opened his voice about the allegations of Tesla shares spoken by his boss Elon Musk some time ago. He said there was no need for Elon to be nice to him.
“There’s no need for him to be nice to me,” said Bill Gates, quoted by the BBC, Thursday (5/5/2022).
Last week, Elon Musk accused Bill Gates of ‘shortening’ Tesla shares. That is a way of making money by betting if the company will lose its valuation.
This method, according to Elon Musk, could be a philanthropic environment for Bill Gates. The Microsoft founder was also asked if he was right to bet against Tesla.
“It has nothing to do with climate change. I have a way to diversify,” he said.
He also rejected the idea of environmental destruction. “The popularity of electric cars will lead to more competition to sell the car. So there is a difference in whether electric cars are adopted and companies become very valuable,” explained Bill Gates.
Bill Gates was also asked about Elon Musk’s deal to buy Twitter. The news was announced last month.
“You know, Elon, I think maybe Twitter could be worse. But maybe it could be even better, So I’ll have to wait and see,” said Bill Gates.
Bill Gates is known to often promote the Covid-19 vaccine movement. Yet it also makes him the subject of grotesque and unfounded claims.
One of them is related to being able to track people through the vaccination. The theory is also widely seen on social media and developed during the pandemic that occurred almost all over the Earth.
According to him to some extent, he was laughing because he was too crazy. Including the matter of tracking theory.
“I mean do I really want to track people? You know I spend billions on vaccines, I don’t make money on vaccines, vaccines save lives,” he explained.
