The weekend was mixed for ASC Field Hockey. If the men experienced an initial defeat against Barentin, they were able to bounce back in a good way by dominating Angers. For the ladies, the trip to Antibes was crowned with success.
SATURDAY, the Amiens suffered the law of Barentin (6-2). A harsh score which does not fully reflect the nature of the match, but which highlights a lack of offensive efficiency and a certain excitement. Nicolas Faille was the only one to deceive the opposing goalkeeper, scoring the two Amiens goals from a corner.
Sunday, against SCO Angers, revenge and victory! From the first minutes, the Amiens took control thanks to the opportunism of Matthieu Pauchet, from a corner (1-0). The match, unspectacular, saw the locals control the debates without taking shelter. We had to wait until the third quarter to see Pauchet score a double, still from a corner (2-0). Then it was the turn of Solal Gallot Rodien who completed an action initiated by Paul Bexant (3-0). Finally, Amiens captain Nicolas Faille completes the success from a corner, thus offering a valuable first victory to their team. Score final 4-0 (Pauchet X2, Gallot Rodien and N Faille).
For the ladies, the trip to Antibes was crowned with success. The Amiens won 2-1bringing back three important points and an encouraging victory. The goals were scored by Lilou Riffiod and Annemieke Fokke.
Good results to be confirmed next week.
