With the organization of the Institute for the Promotion of Argentine Beef (Ipcva), and the participation of the Braford Argentina Association and INTA Mercedes, next Thursday, April 11, a Field Day will be held at Estancia Palmita. In this establishment, located near the city of Mercedes, the livestock company will show its production system with the Braford breed, and INTA technicians will also present on breeding, forage and reproduction, among other topics.
The day will begin at 9 in the morning with the opening, led by the owner of Estancia Palmita, Saturnino Madariaga (h), the regional director of INTA Corrientes, José Rafart, and the owner of the Ipcva, Jorge Grimberg.
Then the technical talks will begin: first, Madariaga will make a presentation of the stay. Then there will be two presentations: “challenges and opportunities for deforestation-free Argentine beef to Europe”, by Adrián Bifaretti, from the Ipcva; and “current economy, perspectives, financial tools and opportunities,” by economist David Miazzo.
The program of activities also includes a field trip with three stops, where there will be talks by representatives of the Palmita cabin, who will talk about selection for fertility andframe,mocho character, adaptation and biotype. And Inta Mercedes technicians will also speak about breeding systems, forage base, reproduction and productive indicators.
Although the event is open, places are limited and registration is required through the Ipcva website.
