“The preliminary results are a big disappointment for the opposition. It doesn’t look like the exciting race that was hoped for – that dream now seems to have shattered. Even in the city where opposition leader Péter Márki-Zay is mayor, he is well behind Orban.
What is still exciting is whether Fidesz will get a two-thirds majority in parliament. Then they can change the constitution. But if that happens, the deception for the opposition will be even greater.”
