Fidan Ekiz regrets that she is not allowed to present Op1 together with her former colleague Renze Klamer. The presenter will form a new duo with Sven Kockelmann from January for the NPO talk show. “I think Sven Kockelmann is great, and I admire him,” she tells De Telegraaf. “But indeed, I do miss Renze myself.”

In June, BNNVARA announced that it would stop De Vooravond, the talk show that Klamer and Ekiz had presented together for two seasons. The broadcaster thought that “the urgency” was missing and since this fall Khalid & Sophie can be seen on the time slot. Klamer and Ekiz recently told RTL Boulevard that they were “sad”, “shocked” and “angry” at the way their program came to an end.
After the abrupt stop, the two were inundated with sweet messages, including from Ekiz’s son. “He was genuinely sorry that it stopped, while I thought his first reaction would be that he would immediately cheer because I would be home more often,” the 45-year-old presenter tells De Telegraaf. “He was happy, but also angry at my employer: how mean of your boss, I like you and Renze so much.”
