Fiat is ready to surprise all its most loyal customers and motorists with a return with great pomp of a historic model, but with very different features from the past.
For some years now Fiat has embarked on a truly intriguing mission, which seems to be pleasing its most loyal customers. Namely the revival of some historical models with modern features.
The local car manufacturer wanted to give a turn to models such as the 500, Panda or Punto completely revolutionizing them and making them very different from the tradition of small family cars.
The latest news in this sense will come in 2023. It seems that Fiat is bringing another traditional model into vogue, but with completely different dimensions and methods from how nostalgics remember it.
The Fiat 600 is back, but this time in the shape of an SUV
In the mid 50’s the Fiat launched the famous 600. A model that certainly had less success and continuity than the 500, but still highly appreciated by motorists for several decades.
With the coming year, Fiat will relaunch the image of the historic city car, revolutionizing it. It is in fact the brand new proposal of Compact SUVfor urban and extra-urban roads, made by the Turin company.
The next model of Fiat 600 could use the CMP platform used as basis for B-segment cars, such as DS 3, Opel Mokka, Peugeot 2008 or the new Jeep Avenger. Like the latter, the Fiat 600 will only be offered in an electric version.
The Fiat 600 could therefore be the SUV on which the Italian car manufacturer intends to bet. Apparently, it would reach 4.1 meters in length and would not be the replacement for the 500X as it would grow in size to 4.4 metres.
The design of the dashboard it is not yet clear, but it hints at a transformation in which digital technology, connection and security aids will be fundamental. Some suggest that the new Fiat 600 2022-2023 it would mount the new eMotors electric motor. But there are also those who imagine maintaining heat engines with which to expand their range. When will it actually be on the market? Fiat 600 should be officially presented in the spring and then start to be sold from October 2023.
