Fiat Tipo has been here with us since 2015, so this year is the high time to modernize it. We knew about her arrival since the spring, when her first photographs leaked to the public. Now the car is officially introduced, in all its beauty. The facelift is extensive, it touched on the design, technology and offered variants.

The distinguishing feature is the redesigned bow with the new Fiat logo, resulting in a more modern face. New is not only the mask and bumper, but also the headlights, using full-LED technology, both at the front and rear. According to the carmaker, they not only improve the view thanks to brighter light, but also reduce electricity consumption due to lower energy consumption, which leads to lower carbon dioxide emissions. The whole is complemented by new wheel designs or new body paints, blue Ocean and orange Paprika.
Three body variants – a sedan, a five-door hatchback and a station wagon – are then complemented by a new “off-road” Cross variant. It was inspired by the smaller Panda Cross, so it is also a plastic-coated variant with a raised chassis. It is built on the foundations of a hatchback, against which it has a chassis increased by four centimeters and a modified appearance. There are also different bumpers, roof rails (so far only available for station wagons) or tires with a higher profile.

The interior is also more modern. Fiat responded to the trend of the time, Tipu was given a configurable digital instrument panel with a 7-inch screen and a 10.25 “touch screen multimedia system at the top of the center panel. This is the new UConnect 5 system introduced in the new electric car 500. It allows you to pair two phones via Bluetooth, there is also a function Apple CarPlay a Android Auto.
Experts will also notice the new ventilation controls or the redesigned steering wheel. It is more compact and should hold better, while maintaining a good view of the alarm clocks.
The range of engines then underwent a complete transformation. In any case, Fiat is currently talking about only one petrol engine and two turbodiesel. However, the offer will probably expand in the future.
As expected, the modernized Tipo received a three-cylinder petrol engine. Specifically, it is a supercharged engine 1.0 GSE T3 family FireFly offering an output of 74 kW and a torque of 190 Nm, which replaces the current atmospheric fourteen hundred.
On the diesel engine side, there is the innovated 1.6 MultiJet meeting the latest Euro 6D-final emission standard. It will be offered in two power versions with 70 kW and 96 kW.
