The Tip rejuvenation procedure brought a new, outdoor-oriented and plastic-coated version of Cross. Unfortunately for the Czech cottager, however, only in the hatchback body, which the Italians make up for with a slight delay.

Facelift Fiatu Tipo It may still seem like a hot news, but the Italian carmaker introduced it as early as the autumn of 2020. In addition to the modified front end or modernized cabin, the car also arrived in a completely new Cross variant, which found inspiration in the world of SUVs and crossovers. Such a car is characterized by, for example, higher ground clearance or plastic covers around the body.

Already when I shot an introductory video for you last year with the rejuvenated Tip Cross, I mentioned that only the more practical station wagon body and all-wheel drive are missing from the absolute ideal of (not only) Czech cottagers. I can remove the first one from the imaginary wish list, as Tipo Cross arrives in a SW version, ie with a backpack on its back. And the world has already been introduced to the first photographs, albeit unofficial ones.

Several photos and footage from the video appeared across social networks over the weekend. Fiat Tipo Cross SW is captured here in a special edition RED, in which Apple, for example, regularly offers its products. It is the foundation of the singer Bon Vox and the money obtained from the partnership with well-known brands goes to health professionals in the most affected parts of the world.

The Tipo model scores points on the Czech market with a favorable price list, as even a hatchback with swollen Cross equipment costs CZK 464,900 today, if you are satisfied with a three-cylinder 1.0 FireFly with an output of 74 kW. But under the hood of such a car, it made more sense to me tested turbodiesel 1.6 MultiJet / 96 kWwhich still costs a nice 554,900 CZK. However, the offer should soon be expanded by the mild-hybrid engine 1.5 FireFly Turbo MHEV with an output of 96 kW. The unit, as well as the new body version, are expected later this year.
