Fiat showed a new crossover and asked for a name

Fiat has published the first photos of its new compact crossover for the South American market. At the same time, the model still does not have a name: the Italians turned to their customers and fans to choose a name for the car.

Anyone can vote in Brazilian Fiat website where the names Tuo, Domo or Pulse are offered for the crossover. The name that received the most votes will become the official designation of the model, informs Autonews.

Goodbye Fiat and PSA! Hello, Stellantis! What do we know about the new car giant?

The new group brings together brands such as Fiat, Jeep, Alfa Romeo and Peugeot, Citroen and Opel

All that is known about this Fiat crossover is that it is built on an entirely new MLA platform that provides “improved dynamic performance, structural reliability and driving comfort”.

According to unofficial data, the range of engines of the model will include a 1.3-liter, 110-horsepower naturally aspirated engine, working in conjunction with a variable gearbox. As an alternative, a 1.0-liter “turbo engine” with a capacity of 125 horsepower, operating in conjunction with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Other details about Fiat’s new crossover will be announced in the near future. In South America, sales of the model will begin in September.

Earlier, Fiat introduced the updated Toro pickup – the largest car in the model range of the Italian brand, with the exception of representatives of commercial vehicles. The nearly 5-meter-long pickup, which is sold in South America, received a slightly redesigned appearance, a modern infotainment complex and a new turbo engine.
