The Fiat Panda has been completely modified by Garage Italia Customs, which has created a special series with ad hoc customizations and electric propulsion, capable of giving it the name of Icon-e. This new line today sees an unprecedented model.
Let’s talk about the Integral-e, the 4 × 4 version of the electric Fiat Panda by Garage Italia Customs. The small and well-known Turin icon is often the subject of more unique than rare customizations and personalizations, in recent days we have also seen the Pandarmato, transformed by the boys of Carmagheddon, which gave it a ‘war’ appearance thanks to the tracked wheels. Today’s is a new limited series, the starting point is clearly the Fiat Panda 4 × 4 first series, but the four-wheel drive was obtained with the installation of two electric motors that provide torque to the two axles.
The car no longer has a manual transmission and the driver has a choice between driving modes Sport and Eco; at the moment we do not know anything about power and autonomy, the data have not yet been disclosed. The arrangement of the elements of the powertrain allows you to keep the spare wheel in the original hood.
Other Garage Italia Customs partners participated in the realization of the new Panda Integral-e limited series project. For example, JBL (which has already worked on other special projects of Garage Italia) has also lent its experience by creating the audio system with custom-made speakers. The tires on the car are from BF Goodrich and the interior upholstery in Alcantara. Inside we find the Nardi steering wheel.
Garage Italia publishes the photos on his Instagram profile and answers some questions from fans and onlookers; we read in fact: “Many of you have asked us why our Panda is called Integral-e. Now we will explain it to you, starting from a premise: the donor cars used as a starting point to make the Panda Integral-e by Garage Italia they keep nothing of the original mechanics. What do they mount? An electric motor on the front axle with dedicated reduction gear / differential and elimination of the 5-speed gearbox. A second electric motor on the rear axle with dedicated reduction gear / differential and elimination of the transmission shaft and rear differential ”.
And finally: “Why Integral-e?”, Garage Italia Customs replies: “Two selectable driving modes, Eco and Sport. The first favors traction in favor of the front axle with 80% – 20% distribution, while the Sport mode provides a classic four-wheel drive scheme, uniforming the distribution on both axles ”.
