The fifth generation of the Doblo delivery will arrive, including the electric e-Doblo variant in the utility and personal versions. It is another version of the unified small van that Citroën sells as Berlingo, Opel and Vauxhall as Combo, Peugeot as Rifter and Toyota as ProAce City.

Fiat will present its version in three versions – Van, Crew Cab and Combi. It also offers two lengths, as well as sister brands. Like them, it is also likely that the personal version will only be electric, although this is not clear from the press release.

The basis of the combustion version will be a 1.5-liter diesel engine in two variants 101 and 131 horsepower. For the first variant, only a manual transmission will be available, for the more powerful one, an eight-speed automatic. Fiat will also offer a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol version with a manual transmission and 110 hp.

The electric variant e-Doblo is the strongest, produces 136 horsepower, has a 50 kWh battery in its bowels and can travel up to 280 kilometers on a single charge according to the WLTP methodology. Top speed is 130 km / h.

With a fast charge of 100 kW, the battery can be charged to 80% in 30 minutes. The car offers three driving modes – Normal, Eco and Power. As for the rest, however, the electric version will not differ from the conventional combustion variant.

The delivery in the combustion variant can hold up to one ton of cargo, the electric variant will carry 200 kg less as a commercial vehicle and 750 kilograms as a personal version.

The utility variant offers, for example, a passenger lift seat, instead of which a load can be placed, or an opening in the bulkhead, through which long things can be pushed into the passenger seat. The maximum length of a thin load will increase to 3.4 meters. The car will also offer a rear-view mirror in the form of a display that shows the camera’s output pointing backwards or to the right to a blind spot.

The personal version can also be purchased with a separately opening window of the fifth door, a glass roof consisting of two long panels or a central ceiling console with additional storage space.

The car will also offer 17 safety and driving assistants. The basis is already autonomous emergency braking, recognition of traffic signs or monitoring the driver’s attention. There is also a system for easier driving on unpaved surfaces or an assistant for descending steep hills.

Doblo and e-Doblo will be produced in Spain, but the carmaker did not state the start date of the sale, let alone Czech prices. We will have to wait for further details.
