The new Fiat 600 is ready for its official presentation: the new SUV will hit the mark on the market with a list price accessible to all.
By the fall of 2023 the Fiat 600 will return to the market in a brand new guise. According to advances released by Carlos Tavares, CEO of the Stellantis group, it could be one of the two electric cars that will be launched this year. In recent weeks it has been spotted with the usual camouflage for some tests on the road and its development seems to be almost over. Production will be carried out in the Tychy plant in Poland where the Jeep Avenger is already being assembled and the assembly line of the future Alfa Romeo SUV is planned.
The new electric Fiat 600 could be presented in the summer and on sale starting next autumn. It will be a compact SUV that promises to make inroads in the B-segment market and in the hearts of Italian and European motorists. It will be built on the CMP platform and will initially be available in hybrid version with 1.2 Puretech engine and electric. According to the first spy-photos it should have a length of just over 4 meters, with an aluminum frame to reduce its weight and improve its performance, with a battery supplied by the Chinese company CATL.
The first advances on the new Fiat 600
From an aesthetic point of view, a look with squared and sporty lines is expected, in the passenger compartment there will be space for a multimedia system similar to the Jeep Avenger and for a rounded instrument panel inspired by the new Fiat 500. The electric version of the Fiat 600 could deliver 154 HP thanks to an engine mounted on the front axle, managing to guarantee a range of 400 km. It cannot be excluded that for the next few years it will also be offered with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and a power of 100 HP, with manual or automatic gearbox.
One of the strengths will certainly be the price which will be around 20 thousand euros. The standard equipment is also extensive, with alloy wheels, electric rear-view mirrors, climate control, side airbags, metallic paint, automatic speed control and traffic sign recognition. Available options include a sunroof, parking sensors, superior quality interiors and fog lights. It is not to be excluded, at a later date, also a sportier version, perhaps signed by Abarthwith four-wheel drive system and an aerodynamic design studied to optimize its performance.
The new Fiat 600 will be sold only in Europe. The new one should also make its debut by the end of 2023 Fiat Topolinowhile for the new one Fiat Panda In 2024, however, it will be the turn of the new Fiat Panda which will certainly have a 100% electric version. The Panda 4×4 will also return to the price lists shortly, which will be a slight evolution of the model that temporarily came out of production in 2022.
