Fiasco! The concert at the O2 arena is cancelled, few tickets were sold

Monika Bagárová is canceling the concert in the O2 arena, which was supposed to take place on September 12 and which was arranged for her by Leoš Mareš. But few tickets were sold, so we had to give up this attempt.

Singer Monika Bagárová gives up her big dream of a huge concert in the famous O2 Arena, where world-famous stars perform. Today she decided to cancel the concert.

“Unfortunately, we have to inform you about the cancellation of Monika Bagárová’s concert, which was scheduled to take place on September 12, 2024 in Prague’s O2 arena,” confirmed the management of the sports hall.

Monika Bagárová’s concert is cancelled, the entrance fee is refunded

“We would like to assure you that the entrance fee will be refunded in full. The return process will begin in the next few days. We apologize for the complications caused and thank you for your support and understanding.” wrote representatives of the O2 arena, where, by the way, the World Hockey Championship will take place in a few days.

Monika Bagárová lived her concert dream thanks to Leoš Mareš, who in recent years started organizing concerts for others. A series of concerts by Jiří Korn, the upcoming concert by Helena Vondráčková and many others were a great success. All of these events are usually sold out, and Mareš gets fabulously rich thanks to it.

But not everything works out for Mares. People still remember the fiasco with the children’s program that Mareš prepared in the O2 arena with Michal Nesvadba from Kouzelná školky. The overpriced tickets were not sold enough and so everything ended in fiasco. Nesvadba then threw the signature cards into the container in protest and criticized Mareš for not promoting the event enough.

Monika Bagárová did not sell enough tickets

Unfortunately, Bagárová ends up like Michal Nesvadba. She sold some tickets, but not enough to fill the arena and cover the costs. Many music fans have already criticized that Bagárová, who paradoxically also sat on the jury of the Czech Republic looking for a SuperStar, is not fit for a big concert.

By the way, it is difficult to sell tickets for the Bagárová concert of my friend Jan Bendig, who has already postponed the concert at the smaller O2 Universum several times. Apparently, it is also related to the “flour” case, when, according to the police, Bendig had flour thrown on him before the awarding of the Czech Nightingales, and it looked like a racist attack by a crazy fan.

What about music fans? “Unnecessarily blocked hall when a foreign star could have been there. These hocus pocus attempts by Mareš,” wrote Tereza Blažková on the O2 Arena’s Facebook page. “I wish Monica all the best. And I wish the O2 arena to be full of big stars again and that Leoš stops turning it into a B-level cultist.” Petr Horáček joined.

What did Monika Bagárová herself say?

What did Monika Bagárová herself say about the canceled concert? Here is her statement:

Since you are the most important people to me after my family, I would like to apologize to you this way. I have decided to cancel my Dream Concert on September 12 at the O2 Arena. I am grateful to each of you who were looking forward to the concert. Several thousand of you have been found and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that.

I believe that we will meet at other events that I will prepare for you, even if they will be more intimate. I made this decision for many reasons that are fundamental to me and I think it will be enough to say that I too am a person who has feelings, is vulnerable and last but not least, wants to be myself.

Everything I do, I do with joy and I try to pass it on. Unfortunately, my joy from my Dream Concert started to fade and disappeared completely. Doing anything without joy makes no sense to me, certainly not to you.

I hope you will forgive my decision. Therefore, allow me to apologize once more, but also to promise you that we will definitely meet together as soon as possible at events that will be charged with the right positive atmosphere.

Yours, Monika.
