Motorsport association FIA is investigating incidents involving Formula 1 driver Lance Stroll. The Canadian, who drives for Aston Martin, is said to have broken several rules during the Qatar Grand Prix last weekend. An FIA spokesperson said the association is in discussions with Stroll “in relation to several incidents which may have breached FIA rules, policies and procedures”.
No details were given about the incidents. It could be seen that after the qualifying race, where he was eliminated after the first part, Stroll pushed his coach Henry Howe. This happened after Howe wanted Stroll to take the correct route, via the pit lane instead of the paddock, including for a mandatory weigh-in.
After the race, Stroll also criticized the penalties he received for breaches of track limits and was outspoken about the extreme weather conditions in Qatar.
