The General Prosecutor of the Republic (FGR), through the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Regional Control (FECOR), from its delegation in Jalisco, obtained from the Specialized District Judge in the Accusatory Criminal System, the link to process against Francisco S, Jesús T, and Jesús V, who were detained for carry an arsenal in Teocaltiche.
It is presumed that these people are responsible for committing the crimes of violation of the Federal Law on Firearms and Explosives in its modality of carrying firearms, possession of cartridges of the Armed Forces, homicide in degree of attempt against public servants and crime committed against practicing officials.
Staff of the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) were traveling on the outskirts of the town called Ostotán, in the municipality of Teocaltiche, in the limits of Zacatecas, when Francisco S, Jesús T and Jesús V, fought against the military elements with gunshots.
While detaining those allegedly responsible, the military personnel secured an arsenal consisting of five long weapons, a barret, a machine gun, two grenades, 68 magazines, a belt with 92 cartridges and thousand 420 charges of different calibers.
The three defendants were placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Ministry (MPF), who sent them before the Specialized Judge, who declared the detention as legal and it ruled the link to the process. As a preventive measure, the defendants will remain in prison, in the prison complex of Big bridge for as long as your process requires.
