With expert evidence, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) confirmed that the former rector of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa Héctor Melesio Cuén Ojeda was murdered in the same place where the leader of the Sinaloa cartel, Ismael, was found. May Zambada, in which he was kidnapped by Joaquín Guzmán López, son of capo Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán.
Likewise, the FGR identified that the traces of blood found in the truck used to the assembly
where the former rector was supposedly murdered at a gas station – as the local prosecutor’s office maintained – correspond to Rodolfo Chaidez Mendoza, currently missing, considered a member of the security team of May.
In a farm located in Huertos del Pedregal, Culiacán, blood evidence was found that has been determined with complete precision by the federal expert units that correspond to the former rector of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, which confirms the information previously obtained, that in the said person was located at the place of the kidnapping and that his blood prints correspond to the time in which the Public Ministry of the Federation has established the moment of his homicide, which occurred many hours before the video of a gas station broadcast locally, which already has been disqualified by the FGR itself

The FGR, directed by Alejandro Gertz Manero, also indicated that it obtained a clear and precise video
of what was confessed by Melesio Cuén’s driver, in which he contradicts his own previous statement before local authorities, regarding the moments of the doctor’s disappearance and death.
“The above ratifies the ministerial and police investigations that determined the alleged criminal and administrative responsibilities of police, public ministries, experts and various personnel of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sinaloa, who have already been exhaustively investigated regarding their participation in the death of Héctor ‘N’”, he reported.
The FGR also denounced that a federal judge based in Culiacán refused to hear the case initiated against Guzmán López, son of El Chapo Guzmán, in which he is accused of treason for the alleged kidnapping of May Zambada and his surrender to the US authorities.
Given that there is a situation of refusal by a federal judge in Culiacán to hear and determine the arrest of those responsible, the Public Ministry will present in the coming days, before an alternative judge, the appropriate evidence and proceedings.
