Cuautitlán Izcalli, Mex.— The leak of photographs disseminated on social networks, presumably of the body of actor Octavio Ocaña inside the amphitheater of the IMSS Lomas Verdes Traumatology hospital, is investigated by authorities of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico ( FGJEM), in addition to conducting an investigation into the actions of local police officers in the Specialized Unit to Combat Corruption.
The investigation into the death of the actor is still open and there are several aspects, such as the leaking of photographs and the actions of the police who participated in the pursuit of the truck that Ocaña was driving, said Mexican authorities.
The 22-year-old young man died on Friday, October 30, after his truck collided in the territory of Atizapán de Zaragoza, on the Chamapa-Lechería toll highway, an accident in which a firearm was accidentally fired while housing a bullet to the actor’s head, after a police chase.
Ocaña was treated by paramedics and transferred to the Traumatology hospital in Naucalpan, where medical personnel determined that he had died.
The Mexican prosecutor’s office reported that, “derived from various procedures carried out up to this moment, it has been possible to establish that the aforementioned photographs were taken while the body was in the hospital amphitheater.
“The FGJEM investigates any person who has had access to the amphitheater of this hospital at the time when the body was in the place,” said local authorities.
Last week, it was reported that the Special Prosecutor for Combating Corruption made a breakdown of this case, for the analysis of the actions of the police elements that took part in the events in which the actor died.
