A look at the cinema programs is enough to identify children’s films as an elementary part of the cinema landscape. It is therefore important for operators and filmmakers to know the characteristics of this target group. In the FFA, which has now been published for 30 years– Studies on the structure of cinema attendance and the development of visitor behavior cannot, however, include children under 10 years of age for methodological reasons. The FFA therefore carried out an additional survey for the first time in 2023, for which parents were asked in July about their children’s cinema visits in the last 12 months.
