Thomas van den Belt is in the interest of Excelsior. The Feyenoord midfielder can leave De Kuip on a rental basis in the coming months, 1908.nl reported on Sunday evening.
Excelsior has formally informed Feyenoord of the specific interest. It is not known whether the stadium club will cooperate in a temporary departure of the 22-year-old midfielder. In addition to Excelsior, several clubs from the Eredivisie are interested in his temporary arrival.
Van den Belt has not been able to secure a starting spot at Feyenoord. He made five appearances as a substitute this season, accounting for 72 minutes. Van den Belt came from PEC Zwolle last summer for a fee of 850,000 euros and signed a contract until 2027 in De Kuip.
