Feyenoord only came into the market for the attacking midfielder last summer after the 2-2 draw at Sparta Rotterdam and a deal was forged within twenty-four hours. The club previously missed out on NK Lokomotiva Zagreb for the talented Luka Stojković. GNK Dinamo Zagreb, also a candidate for Stojković, rejected the deal and subsequently threatened not to sell Luka Ivanušec to Feyenoord. The Rotterdam team held on to Ivanušec’s arrival all summer, after which Zagreb finally took over Stojković.
Feyenoord has not included any hard conditions with Slavia Prague for Lingr. The purchase option is therefore mandatory from the summer of 2024 and the deal should be seen as a kind of deferred payment: the Rotterdammers must transfer about four million euros to the Czech bank account after this season.
Lingr scored two goals and one assist in 147 official minutes at Feyenoord. The Czech is therefore involved in a Rotterdam goal on average every 49 minutes.
