“Feyenoord shows maturity amid major changes in team composition”

According to Kees Kwakman and Marciano Vink, the Feyenoord team is more mature than the team that played last year. A huge number of players left Rotterdam, but the club management, according to the analysts, handled this wonderfully. David Hancko and Santiago Gimenez in particular receive praise for this.

“Individually, they were perhaps a lot better last year, if you look at everything,” says Kwakman ESPN Football talk. “But look at Hancko. Marcos Senesi was of course a loss when he left, but I have not actually seen Hancko make any mistakes. Even if it is only one season, but he is very strong this year.”

Vink is also lyrical about how the Slovak has replaced the Argentinian. “I think Hancko is more stable and I like his play-in pass better. Senesi simply made more mistakes and I don’t see Hancko doing that yet. It is generally a lot more mature this year, while last year almost every player was older.”

Vink also wants to make a comparison between Santiago Gimenez and Cyriel Dessers. The Belgian was the absolute crowd favorite last year, but that spot has now been silently taken over by the Mexican. “Gimenez is better than Dessers in everything, only in depth he was perhaps a little stronger. You can really see from everything that Gimenez is going to be a very big striker. It is also very good in terms of figures.”
