Kamil Piatkowski will not replace Gernot Trauner at Feyenoord. The Polish defender was reportedly high on the wish list of the team from Rotterdam, but will take another step. That reports Twitter account Feyenoord Transfermarkt, owner of 1908.nl.
Feyenoord had Piatkowski, who is still a player of Red Bull Salzburg, in high regard. Both clubs and the player himself felt something for a rental transfer with a possible purchase option, but because Feyenoord did not seek further rapprochement for too long, a transfer ultimately failed to materialise.
According to the Twitter channel, Feyenoord did not act actively enough after missing out on Ramiz Zerrouki. The club itself would not know how it wants to distribute the available financial resources over the positions where reinforcements are needed (central back and midfield).

Although Feyenoord is no longer in the picture, Piatkowski will certainly make a transfer. Leicester City seemed to be the main competitor, but there would also be interest from Germany and Belgium.
