Feyenoord and Dick Advocaat argue about Europe bonus | Football

sport">Feyenoord states that no European football has yet been reached for the coming season. The club must first play six matches in various qualifying rounds to participate in a European tournament next season. Those qualifying matches do not yield a penny for the Rotterdam team and each round costs more money than they yield.

sport">Feyenoord will only receive new income when they qualify for a European tournament. Feyenoord would not have made a problem of paying out a bonus if the Rotterdam team had immediately qualified for the group stage of a European tournament. In the past, Feyenoord also only paid out bonuses if qualification was successful.

Conference League

sport">In his farewell match as trainer, Advocaat secured Feyenoord’s participation in the second preliminary round of the Conference League via the play-offs. “That’s European football,” says Advocaat at VI’s European Championship show. “But they have a different idea about that at Feyenoord. Apparently they don’t think this is European football. That still has a tail.”

sport">Advocaat’s contract with Feyenoord stated that the experienced coach would receive a bonus for European football. The Conference League was not mentioned because it also did not exist at the time of the drafting of the contract.

sport">Lawyer has consulted with Feyenoord. ,,Yes, there is now contact about it. Is there any movement? Yes, negative movement.”

Decic of Drita

sport">Feyenoord’s European campaign starts on July 22 against FK Decic from Montenegro or KF light from Kosovo. If Arne Slot’s team takes that hurdle, there are still two rounds on the way to the main tournament.
