Fewer trains on three Arriva routes all day due to staff shortage (update)

Last Saturday, Arriva also canceled one train per hour on certain journeys. The carrier then said: “We have recently been faced with limited availability of our staff and are sorry that travelers are experiencing inconvenience due to the cancellation of trains.” According to Arriva, the staff shortage is due to ‘a combination of persistent absenteeism, summer leave, re-instruction and catch-up training and exams’.
