Fewer than 200 corona patients still in hospital Inland

The number of corona patients in intensive care increased slightly, from 30 to 32. Nursing departments still treat 157 people with Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. That is 21 less than on Sunday.

The intensive care units contain 527 people with other conditions. That is 14 less than on Sunday. In total, 559 people are now on an ICU. That number has fluctuated around 600 for a long time. Under normal circumstances, intensive care units treat around 900 people. “Regular care is not yet at its old level,” concludes Ernst Kuipers, president of the Landelijk Netwerk Acute Zorg.

The LCPS began sharing figures on hospital crowds nearly three months ago, on April 3. The corona crisis was at its most severe at the time. More than 1,300 corona patients were on the ICs alone. In the days that followed, it even rose to over 1,400. The LCPS did not yet report how many corona patients were treated outside the ICs.
