High cholesterol is one of the most common problems among the population. It is an element that is naturally present in our body. However, bad habits can cause it to increase excessively. In particular, the choices we make regarding our diet have a great influence in this sense. This is why we try to pay attention to what we eat. We choose foods carefully so as not to raise the bad cholesterol and favor the good one. The list of foods that match this description is long. Eg we eat these iron rich beans to lower cholesterol and triglycerides. Yet despite all this attention there is something that escapes us. In fact, few people know the mistake that we all make at the table and that makes our cholesterol splash. This is a habit that can almost nullify our efforts. This mistake in fact decreases the nutritional values of even the healthiest foods. Not only that but in this way they can become harmful to our health. Fortunately, avoid this very simple mistake. For this we just have to know it and act accordingly.
Few people know the mistake that we all make at the table and that makes our cholesterol splash
Most of us know by now. In order not to raise cholesterol levels, we must avoid eating fatty foods. There are some that are particularly rich in cholesterol and therefore cause it to increase dramatically. Others contrast it because they are rich in Omega 3 and other substances that favor the development of good cholesterol. All of this is important, since high cholesterol increases the risk of blood clots and therefore heart attacks and strokes. To avoid such a great risk it is enough to pay attention to what we eat. The problem, however, is that we only focus on the choice of foods. There are actually two other fundamental steps for our health. In fact, most of the time we will cook and season the food we choose. This is where we make the mistake. In fact, when we cook and when we season we make choices that nullify our efforts.

Pay attention to cooking
As far as cooking is concerned, we must prefer those types that best preserve the nutritional values. But also those that do not require the use of abundant condiments. The experts they recommend boiling, stewing, steaming, baking or microwave cooking. So let’s avoid cooking food in a pan using too much oil, frying and grilling. Let’s move on to the condiments. In this phase we always tend to add unnecessary fats in disproportionate quantities. Especially those of animal origin such as butter, lard and lard are to be avoided. Extra virgin olive oil is also best used raw. In reality this is an ally of good cholesterol and decreases the bad one. Indeed we can say goodbye cholesterol thanks to this tasty ingredient that we all have in the kitchen. By cooking it, however, it loses most of its benefits. Furthermore, we must not overdo it and consume no more than two tablespoons of oil a day.
