Palembang, Sonora.ID – Case Fever Dengue (DBD) which is currently experiencing an increase in Palembang, making the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Palembang City Branch to ask the public to always be vigilant.
In addition, the current case of dengue fever occurs side by side with the Covid-19 pandemic, which is still endemic, so people are asked to be more vigilant.
Chairman of IDI Palembang, Dr. Zulkhair Ali also asked the public to immediately see a doctor if they have a fever for more than two days.
“If you have a fever, immediately check with a doctor. The hallmark of dengue fever is that if you have a fever for 2-7 days, you must immediately consult a doctor. This is an anticipatory step and to ensure yourself from dengue fever,” he said when interviewed, Friday (25 /02).
This, continued Zulkhair, as an effort to determine whether the patient was actually exposed to DHF or not.

“Efforts to see a doctor are a step to determine whether the patient is suffering from DHF or not,” he concluded.
Previously, the Palembang City Health Office noted that as many as 126 people were exposed to DHF at the beginning of 2022, 2 of them died.
This number is very much different in 2021, where there are only 11 people recorded as having been exposed to DHF.
