Some have been waiting for a year. Rest assured, one of the most important festive meetings summer in Ile-de-France will be there from June 30.
It was on this date that the 370th edition of the Feast of Lodgesone of the oldest in France, will open its doors to the public in the forest of Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines) until August 20.
A charity operation for the opening
Several events will punctuate this 2023 edition. On Friday June 30, it will begin with a charity operation in favor of the association Together for Them.
Created in 1999, it finances, designs, organizes and manages events for the benefit of Major wards of the French Fire Brigade.
“Wristbands will be on sale at the price of €20 for 15 rides on 15 different attractions from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. within the limit of the participating rides in favor of the association” explain the organizers.
The next day, Saturday July 1 at 4 p.m., the representatives of the City, organizer of the Fête des Loges and the fairgrounds will meet in a festive atmosphere to inaugurate the 2023 edition.
The organizers emphasize that this Inauguration will also take place in the presence of ” Jax Parrohlook-alike of the famous captain in ” Pirates of the Caribbean and its musicians. »

No Fête des Loges without its queen. Elected by the showmen, Lena Lision will succeed Sasha Durepairt, queen of lodges 2022. She will be crowned on Thursday July 6 at 11 a.m. in the town hall by Arnaud Péricard, the first magistrate of Saint-Germain-en-Laye
She will represent the Fête des Loges throughout the year and will also ensure her mission as sovereign by meeting hospitalized children and the elderly in retirement homes.

The Saint-Fiacre in memory of the Irish monk
Another highlight and not-to-be-missed event of the Fête des Loges will take place on Thursday July 20 at 11 a.m.: the Saint-Fiacre given “in memory of the Irish monk, patron saint of gardeners and market gardeners. On this occasion, the Fête des Loges will adorn its attractions and walkways with flowers. »
This Mass will be presided over by Father Étienne Guillet, Episcopal Vicar of the diocese of Versailles and fairground chaplain.

July 1, 4 p.m.: Inauguration
July 8 at 9:30 p.m.: Moz Drum, show by street percussionists
July 16 at 3 p.m.: Portuguese day (band, dancers and musicians in traditional dress)
July 20 at 11 a.m.: Saint-Fiacre in the presence of clowns
July 23 at 4 p.m.: parade of characters bearing the effigy of King Kong
July 30 at 4 p.m.: Parade of characters featuring Pokémon characters
August 6 at 4 p.m.: great fairy parade
August 12 at 9:30 p.m. Dark Squad: Nighttime show with LED-clad street drummers
August 20: closing of the party at midnight
Throughout this event, the public will obviously be able to find the 2 elements that make it so successful: attractions and rides for all ages – ranging from the most traditional to those using the latest technologies – and the famous kitchen alley.
The Kitchen Alley and its 6,000 covers
It offers a daily capacity of more than 6,000 covers in many restaurants and refreshment bars whose reputation goes well beyond the framework of the Festival. Visitors will be able to enjoy every day from 12 p.m. in some restaurants and in the evening for others, around dishes of French, Guadeloupe, Reunionese, Oriental origin… Impossible to miss the famous suckling pig old-fashioned roast… A specialty of the Fête des Loges since the 17th century, visitors can taste it in a few restaurants on the Allée des Cuisines!

Des food-trucks
Among the novelties of this 2023 edition, we should point out the installation ofun village de food-trucks. The opportunity to taste Afro-Caribbean, Asian, Oriental or Reunion Island flavours.
To reach the Fête des Loges from the RER A terminus in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, a small train will run from 1:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m., from June 30 to August 20. The fare is €3 per person one way.
Remember that the entrance to the Festival is free but that access to the attractions is subject to a charge.
The Fête des Loges will be open Monday to Thursday from 3 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of holidays from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Sundays and public holidays from 2 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Sunday, August 20 the carnival will close at midnight.
