The shops on Sunday 28/4 will be open from 11:00 in the morning until 18:00 in the afternoon.
So consumers have 7 hours to go out and make their purchases.
Details of the festive hours during Holy Week
- M. Monday 29/04/2024 until M. Thursday 02/05/2024 9:00 – 21:00
- M. Friday 03/05/2024 13:00 – 19:00
- M. Saturday 04/05/2024 9:00 – 15:00
- On Monday 06/05/2024 the shops will remain closed.
- On Tuesday 07/05/2024 the shops will remain closed, due to the transfer of the May Day holiday.
How do shopping centers work on Palm Sunday?
The Mall, Golden Hall, Athens Metro Mall operate on M. Friday 03/05: 13:00-19:00 (minimum) and 13:00-21:00 (maximum), while on M. Saturday 04/05: 10:00-19:00 (minimum) and 10:00-20:00 (maximum).
The Attica on M. Friday it is open from 13:00 to 21:00 while on M. Saturday from 10:00 to 19:00.
To River West it has not announced specific hours, however it will definitely open at 1:00 PM and probably stay open until 8:00 PM. On M. Saturday the shopping center will open at 09:00 and close at 20:00. The same goes for the Avenue.
To Smart Park – Discount Village M. Friday operates from 13:00 20:00 and on M. Saturday from 09:00 – 20:00.
Supermarket opening hours
The opening hours of the supermarkets on Palm Sunday are as follows:
- The Sklavenitis supermarkets, except for the store at Smart Park – Discount Village in Spata (with opening hours from 11:00 to 20:00), will remain closed.
- Stores *AB Vassilopoulos 11.00 – 18.00
- Masoutis stores will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (HERE)
- My Market stores will be open from 11:00 to 17:00 (HERE)
- The stores of the Kritikos chain (HERE) opening hours some 09:00 to 15:00
- LIDL stores will be open from 11:00 to 20:00, with an overview of the opening hours by region (HERE)
*Exceptions regarding AB VASSILOPOULOS as follows:
- MESSOLONGI – Palm Sunday-SHOPS closed & Saturday 27/4 OPENING HOURS 08.00- 18.00 PM (local holiday)
- AG.DIMITRIOS 2 metro mall & PIRAEUS, HOURS OF OPERATION 11.00am-8.00pm following the Malls’ opening hours.
