Frankfurt (dpa / lhe) – Hesse’s Christmas markets recorded a moderate rush and few corona violations on the fourth weekend of Advent. In Frankfurt, the Christmas markets are less well attended than in normal years, said a spokesman for the Frankfurt police headquarters on Sunday. The Corona regulations are generally well complied with and checked by officials and stand operators. There are similar experiences in Darmstadt. At the weekend around 500 people came to the Christmas market every day, said a police spokesman in Darmstadt. There were no major problems with corona violations.
At the Christmas market in Kassel, a police spokesman said on Sunday: “It’s all very decent and it’s not overcrowded.” According to the police in Fulda, violations of corona rules were limited. In most cases, police officers only have to intervene if people are not wearing their mouth and nose masks properly.
