Festival AMERICA postpones its 10th edition to 2022

Despite the improvement in the health situation at the beginning of May and a deconfinement schedule that releases constraints this summer, the America festival prefers to be careful and pass its turn for 2021. “Due to uncertainties related to the health crisis, the America 2021 festival is canceled” indicates the press release of the event. The tenth edition of the Vincennes festival was to take place in September 2020, before being canceled due to the pandemic and postponed to 2021.

Francis Geffard, president of the demonstration, explains to Livres Hebdo: “It seems difficult to us to consider calmly the arrival and stay of more than seventy North American authors, as well as the reception of thousands of festival-goers in satisfactory conditions..”

The teams of the Vincennes event are now giving an appointment to lovers of North American literature and culture from September 22 to 25, 2022, for the 10e editing“says the press release, which adds: we”we therefore prefer to mobilize now to make the 2022 festival a real party that will celebrate the 20th anniversary of America and mark the 530th anniversary of the arrival of Christopher Columbus in America and the meeting between the Old and the New World.
