Fest Festival organizers have decided to return next year after the failure of canceling last year’s edition.
Another edition Fest Festival is to be held in Chorzów on August 15-16, 2025 This decision was announced by the organizers after the scandal that it turned out that the 2023 edition was canceled. At the same time, they proposed a solution to those who have not yet received refunds for tickets purchased for that edition.
The statement reads:
FEST Festival is a project that was created out of pure love for music and the desire to celebrate life with loved ones. For 3 years, we did everything in our power to create a safe space for rest and fun in the green heart of Silesia – the largest city park in Europe, known as Silesian Park in Chorzów. We had one goal, to become the cultural heart of the country, where music, culture, art and, above all, participants create a harmonious world based on positive emotions that allow you to rise above everyday life and celebrate the best moments of life.
Dreams are not everything, we learned this the hard way in 2023, when after thousands of organized concerts and countless editions of festivals, we had to cancel the most important event for us. Over the past year, we have been working hard to resurrect our wonderful event. Everyone agreed on one thing: FEST Festival was one of the best festival projects on the map of Poland and Europe.
Preparations for 2025 cannot begin without settling the arrears related to the canceled edition of the event. In accordance with previous promises, participants who did not receive a refund for tickets purchased in 2023 will receive passes for next year’s FEST and a 50% discount for the next edition of the festival.
The decision on this form of settlement for unrefunded money Marcin Szymanowski explains in an interview for Onet:
Unfortunately, this is the only solution – to accept a season ticket from us for concerts in 2025. If we were to pay people the arrears now, we would not have the funds to organize FEST next year.
