The President of the Superior Communication Council (CSC), Abdoulazize Bamogo, and his counterpart from Benin, Remi Prosper Moretti, visited stands at FESPACO headquarters on 1is March 2023 in Ouagadougou.
The president of the CSC, Abdoulazize Bamogo, says satisfied, because “we have noticed that there are many communication, production and media structures present at this edition of FESPACO”.
Regarding productions that deal with security issues considered quite sensitive, for him, “It’s a good thing that this is brought to the screen, because it will allow the public to understand that it is now a reality with which we live. This reality forces us to change our way of life”. He believes that everyone must now be their own security officer, but also that of the whole country.
Abdoulazize Bamogo believes that “this work that filmmakers, producers, film directors do, falls within this pedagogical aspect of education so that each of us now becomes an actor in securing our fellow citizens and our territories”. Moreover, he urges the actors of the 7th art to put elements that help our different communities to be reunited, because this issue of the security crisis undermines the relationship between our different communities.
As for his Beninese counterpart, Remi Prosper Moretti, “my prayer is that filmmakers produce content that will contribute to the development of our countries, the sub-region and therefore all of Africa”.
