In its second edition, FESCIVAL presents between October 18 and 22 in Segocvia, an extraordinary selection of high-quality films from 15 different countries. And as a novelty, in addition to the Official Section, this year the Festival has a Children’s and Youth Film Section and the Ukrainian Cinema Section.
Organized by the Valsaín Foundation, it has the collaboration of Acción Cultural Española, the University of Valladolid, the Junta de Castilla y León, the Provincial Council of Segovia, the City Council of Segovia, the City Council of the Real Sitio de San Ildefonso, the Claret School of Segovia and the Royal Academy of History and Art of San Quirce, among others.
Fescival aims to promote a space for reflection on the values we share as a society, while promoting gems of European cinema that usually do not reach the general public in commercial theaters. In this edition, fundamental figures of Spanish cinema such as Fernando Méndez-Leite or Emilio Gutiérrez Caba and other relevant figures of European cinema participate, such as Paulina Stahlberg or the Czech director Tomas Hodan.
The screening of a total of 37 European films is complemented by workshops, conferences and masterclasses, as well as exhibitions, concerts and other activities related to cinema and democratic values.
