Fertiberia see impossible to answer financially to the guarantee of 65.9 million euros established as a guarantee to restore the phospho-gypsum pools, if not with the mortgage on its Puertollano factory and two other warehouses. A proposal that the Ministry of Ecological Transition has rejected transferring a letter, dated September 9, to the National Court pointing to the inaction of this company to constitute a valid guarantee in law.
The amount set by the court is equivalent to the cost of executing the project processed by Fertiberia. The company insists on the sufficiency of the mortgage offered, whose value is much higher than 65.9 million.
Fertiberia now provides, through a letter presented on September 25, a report issued by a company specialized in risk assessment and insurance broker (Marsch), where, according to the company, the impossibility of resorting to another type of insurance. Likewise, it provides the appraisals of three real estate whose value for mortgage purposes is more than double the amount it must guarantee. Specific, values the Puertollano factory at 127.5 million euros, a warehouse in Villlalar de los Comuneros, in Valladolid, 3.4 million euros: and another 2.4 million from another warehouse in Pancorbo, Burgos.
The company now awaits a new response from the Ministry of Ecological Transition, to constitute the guarantee if it accepts the proposal.
