The Vlaamse Waterweg is going to give the car ferry between Meeswijk and Berg-Urmond a different location in the Maas. “In the future, the car ferry will moor more than 7 meters inland on the Flemish side,” said Flemish Minister Lydia Peeters of Mobility (Open Vld). “The Maas will then have more space at the ferry and the strong current at high water will then no longer end up in the side of the ferry.”
