The Superior Court of Sports Sports Justice (STJD) confirmed this Saturday (17), the receipt of the request by Ferroviário to challenge the match against América-MG for the Copa do Brasil, on April 16. The decisive match was resolved on penalties. The charge hit by Adílson Bahia was invalidated by referee Vinícius Gonçalves Dias Araújo, even though the ball crossed the goal line.

In the document, sent to the agency, the Ferroviário also asks that the result of the match is not approved and that the draw for the third phase of the competition is not carried out. The president of the STJD, Otávio Noronha, will analyze the requests.

With the elimination, the team stopped earning R $ 1.7 million referring to the classification for the third phase of the national tournament. With a payroll of around R $ 300,000, the award could pay off about six months of wages.

- Let the present objection be received, for the reasons stated above, in a timely and prepared manner;
- That the result of the match between América-MG and Ferroviário AC is not approved, in the form of the legal obligation imposed by article 84 §3 of the CBJD, with the consequent suspension of the draw for the next phase of the Brazilian Cup;
- The present special objection to departure procedure must be upheld, in the sense that the departure between Atlético-MG and Ferroviário AC which took place on April 14, 2021 is annulled;
- In the event that these records are analyzed only at the level of Voluntary Appeal, that subsequent departures possibly carried out due to the rejection of the injunction are also annulled and rescheduled.
