On an aesthetic level convinces a lot: livery with two shades, the classic red combined with an amaranth tint, like the one shown on the car last year at Mugello during the celebrations for the thousandth GP in F1. The effect of the shading in the back is beautiful, with the colors turning to an even darker red in the rear wing, with a wine effect. The logos of the main sponsor also change, Mission Winnow, I am now in electric green. There is also a lot of black, the color of carbon while the white has practically disappeared: it remains only in the numbers of the retro graphics and in some writings of the sponsors. The shapes of the SF21 follow those of the previous single-seater and it could not be otherwise since the regulations have been frozen pending the radical reform of 2022, the year in which Ferrari believes it can return to fighting for the title. In this transitional season, the goal is to review the podium frequently, to leave 2020 behind, the worst season in 40 years. The technicians worked on the engine, rear and gearbox to modify what was allowed with two development tokens available.

Most of the interventions are hardly visible to the naked eye, the engine first of all. The new power unit 065/6 has recovered many horses: We worked with humility, learning from defeats, explained the head of the engineers Enrico Gualtieri : We worked together with the frame builders to make the car more efficient: we worked on the V6, turbocharger, hybrid part and also on the electronics: we put a lot of energy into this project but at the same time we dedicated ourselves to 2022.
