Ferrari uses the abbreviation M for models whose performance has been improved. It is a shortening of the word Modificata, and in the case of the Portofino M model, this letter brings with it a large number of improvements. For the first time in its history, the legendary carmaker presented the car completely online.

The Portofino M is more expensive than the model before modernization. And that by 24 thousand pounds, ie about 700 thousand crowns, costs 5.5 million. For that price, however, the customer gets a large portion of improvements, starting with the exterior. Portofino M is more aggressive and sporty. The designers focused mainly on the front of the car.

However, the biggest changes can be found under the hood. Ferrari has installed a particulate filter in the car, making the Portofino M compliant with Euro 6d emissions regulations. The double-turbocharged V8 engine with a displacement of 3.9 liters now gives the car even higher performance and instead of 600 horsepower offers 620 horsepower.

A novelty under the hood of the car is also a new, eight-speed automatic transmission. Ferrari has set it to handle up to 35% more torque than the older version, which has also improved the Portofin M’s acceleration numbers from 0 to 100 km / h. The sharper version of the M can do it in 3.45 seconds.

The Portofino M has also recently taken over the driving mode setting system, which has appeared in more expensive models such as the Ferrari Roma. The selection button can be set to five different levels, the sharpest of which is of course the Race module. It is in it that the Portofino M is much better than its weaker version.

In addition to these systems, Ferrari has added a number of smart assistants or improved seats to the equipment. Deliveries of the car will be handled in the first half of 2021.
