Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz ran 143 laps (774km) on the final day, bringing the total distance covered for the week to 417 laps (2257km). For this reason, the Ferrari SF-23 will challenge the weekend of the season opening F1 Bahrain GP with already running a distance of more than 7 races. In the morning, Charles Leclerc took to the track shortly after 10am local time, running the C3 compound for much of the session while continuing to work on setting up the car. Charles Leclerc started on the harder C2 tire and ran the qualifying simulation on the C4 compound, recording the best time of 1’31.024. He completed 67 laps (363 km) for a total of 199 laps (1,077 km) over the three days. During the lunch break, the SF-23 was set up for Carlos Saind. In the afternoon Carlos first spent the afternoon in qualifying trim before switching to race settings. After alternating between C2 and C3 tyres, he switched to C4 and set a best time of 1:31.036. In the final 90 minutes, Sainz completed the race simulation, taking a total of 76 laps (411km) for the day and 218 (1,180km) throughout the test. Charles Leclerc: “Three very intensive days of testing have come to an end. The first day was all about running extensive scans and understanding how well the data matched what we expected at the factory. The results. , we found a pretty good correlation, we made some good steps forward this week with a lot of focus on set-up, and also some different driving styles to test which driving style best suits this new car. I’ve tested my driving style and I’m curious to see what position the teams are in at the opening round next week and the relationship with their rivals.”Carlos Sainz”The last three days have been without any problems. I was able to complete all the scheduled runs.First of all a big thank you to all the team on site and in Maranello.Today we concentrated on both short and long runs and some things we wanted to test. We have now completed the evaluation of the parameters of the car.Now we will concentrate on analyzing the data to ensure that we are fully prepared for the first Grand Prix of the year.I am looking forward to racing here next week.”Frédéric Vasseur (Team Principal) For the whole team, the last three days have been very intense, analyzing the behavior of the various elements of the car, not worrying about lap times or what’s going on around us, just focusing on ourselves and doing most of the program. I ticked the box, my main goal was to get as much mileage as possible, and I’ve achieved that, but it’s also true that there’s always that feeling of wanting more, more time. But that’s for everyone. Same thing, the performance seemed to be there, as is always the case when it’s all been put together, but obviously we’re still in the process of getting to know the car, so it’s too early to say anything. The mood in the team is perfect and we are in great shape to start this long season.”
