Ferrari has introduced the latest third model in the Icona series, presenting the brand’s classic design in the modern era. Daytona SP3 is the latest addition to this collection, after seeing Monza SP1 and SP2 over the years.
Daytona SP3 draws its inspiration from the classics 330 P3 / P4, 350 Can-Am, 512S and other racing models of the brand of that time. A clear example of this are the horizontal openings, which, in addition to a design role, also play a functional role.
This is the most aerodynamic model ever made by Ferrari, and in addition, this is achieved without any additional active aero elements. Combined with the Ferrari 812 Competizione’s V12 petrol engine, acceleration from 0 to 100km / h takes exactly 2.86 seconds, while 200km / h appear on the mileage in 7.4 seconds.
Italian engineers have reduced the weight of the engine and increased its power to 828 horsepower and a maximum torque of 697 Newton meters. The most powerful engine the brand has ever made is combined with a seven-speed automatic transmission.
For the most part, the body is made of carbon and Kevlar, and Pirelli has developed special tires for the model. Ferrari does not mention in what series the Daytona will be produced, nor its price, but most likely most of the cars have already been sold.
