Fernández Noroña denounces the president of Ecuador before the FGR

Mexico City. Deputy Gerardo Fernández Noroña filed a complaint with the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) against the president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa Azín, for the assault on the Mexican Embassy in Ecuador. He also requested his arrest and extradition to Mexico to be prosecuted for the crime of kidnapping against the former vice president of that country, Jorge Glas.

“It is a very serious violation, not only of international laws, but of our country’s own legislation, which applies to any Mexican embassy in the world. We are presenting this complaint addressed to the Attorney General of the Republic, Alejandro Gertz Manero, and we hope that this request we are making is carried out.”

Fernández Noroña pointed out that he filed the lawsuit in his capacity as a Mexican citizen, as a federal representative and as a friend of Jorge Glas. “I feel aggrieved by the relationship I have with him and by the fact of the illegal deprivation of his freedom, the torture to which he has been subjected and the political persecution he is experiencing at this moment.”

“The jurisdiction that governs the Mexican Embassy is our laws and under those laws Jorge Glas was kidnapped, he was abducted with violence, there are the videos and the evidence, there are the statements of the government of Ecuador itself, that is a serious fact”

Regarding Senator Lilly Téllez, who apologized to the president of Ecuador, Gerardo Fernández Noroña stated that she must apologize to the people of Mexico and Sonora for betraying them. “She does not represent the people of Mexico, she is a personal position. She didn’t even share it (PAN). There is not a single country that has validated the violent assault on our embassy. The international community has condemned this very serious fact, the United States even corrected the call of our fellow president Andrés Manuel López Obrador.”
