Ferdy Sambo’s brother tells the story that Putri Candrawati asked for a gun to be secured to the Criminal Investigation Department

Older brother Ferdi Sambo, Leonardo Sambo, recounts the moment after the arrest of his younger brother in relation to the murder case of Brigadier Joshua Hutabarat. He admitted that he was asked to take Sambo’s gun to the criminal investigation department.

Leonardo reported this when he was a witness at Joshua’s murder trial with defendant Bharada Eliezer at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday (10/31/2022) night. Leonardo was initially questioned by the judge about his profession.

“What kind of brother?” asked the judge.

“Consultant in Makassar,” Leonardo said.

Leonardo then said he was in Makassar on Friday (7/8) or the day Joshua’s shooting occurred. Leonardo then explained why he was questioned.

“So what’s your involvement here as a witness?” ask the judge

“At that time, Pak Ferdy was being held at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters, Ms. Putri asked me to secure her weapon to the Criminal Investigation Unit because there was no police at Saguling House, so I took the investigation unit criminal “, Leonardo said.

“What do you know about this?” asked the judge.

“I don’t know, Your Honor,” he said.

The shooting against Joshua took place at Ferdy Sambo’s official residence, the Duren Tiga police complex, in South Jakarta, on Friday (7/8). The incident was originally called a shootout between Joshua and Eliezer.

The shooting is said to have been triggered by Joshua’s harassment of Putri. Later, the story of the shooting and harassment turned out to be the work of Ferdy Sambo.

This case was then prosecuted. Bharada Richard Eliezer was charged with the premeditated murder of Brigadier N Yosua Hutabarat along with Ferdy Sambo, Putri Candrawathi, Ricky Rizal and Strong Ma’ruf.

Eliezer was accused of violating Article 340 of the Criminal Code, a subsidiary of Article 338 of the Criminal Code joint Article 55 paragraph 1 of the criminal code.
