The new details coming to light about the new femicide in Heraklion are shocking.
The 39-year-old perpetrator was arrested by the authorities as on Friday morning he shot and killed his 29-year-old partner from Romania, in the apartment they lived in in the Kaminia area.
According to local media, the man was under the influence of alcohol. At the same time, according to information, he allegedly called EKAV saying: “Come, I killed my wife.” Immediately after, EKAV informed EL.AS., to follow the arrest of the 39-year-old.
The arrested person is said to have been of concern to the authorities in the past, being flagged for fights and possession of small amounts of drugs.
The woman was found dead in the living room of the penthouse apartment where they lived on Patroklou Street. Testimonies from neighbors reported to local media that tensions between the couple were frequent.

Police are investigating what armed the 39-year-old’s hand. One of the scenarios has the perpetrator arguing with his partner early Friday morning.
At the same time, according to neakriti.gr, another person with exactly the same name as the victim’s, but with a different date of birth was allegedly tagged as an additional element regarding the investigations.
