Berlin – It was another murder of a woman, a so-called femicide! Again in Berlin. Again with a knife. In the evening, a man stabbed his former partner (28) to death in the far east of the capital. She is the mother of two children. His “motive”: disappointed love.
Late on Wednesday evening, a man brutally stabbed his ex-wife in front of a residential building in Berlin-Zehlendorf. She too succumbed to her severe injuries.
The crime scene this time: Dolgenseestrasse in Berlin-Friedrichsfelde. The killer (45) ambushed his ex-girlfriend at her apartment door. He rang the bell, she opened it – and without warning he is said to have stabbed the young woman with a knife.

The victim’s screams caught the attention of neighbors, who alerted the police. The woman was lying bleeding in the hallway in front of her apartment door. Emergency doctors and paramedics took care of the seriously injured woman. She was resuscitated and taken to a hospital. However, she died there a short time later.

After the crime, the knife attacker fled. An hour later, police officers arrested him two kilometers away from the crime scene near a subway station.
“The accused is the victim’s ex-partner,” confirms Sebastian Büchner, spokesman for the Berlin Attorney General’s Office.

The suspect is a native of Turkey. The murder victim is from Greece. The woman has two children. They were with their biological father at the time of the crime.
Was the ex-boyfriend prohibited by law from approaching the woman (as in the Zehlendorf case)?
“No,” said Büchner. “But the woman had filed a complaint against her ex-partner for stalking.” He could not say when the complaint was dated.

Apparently the woman desperately tried to get help from her neighbors. A bloody fingerprint can be seen on the doorbell. The apartment door has been sealed by the 6th Homicide Squad.
An arrest warrant was issued against the suspected killer on Saturday and he is now in custody.
